Setting a category value for many products at once can be accomplished in Shopify by using the "Bulk" editor tool.
Follow the instructions below to select products to update and add an appropriate category to MC Category metafield.
Before proceeding, you will need tp perform the following:
- Download and open the MoreCommerce Category Guide.
- Copy and paste the bolded text below in a file, using a text editor like notepad.exe.

Steps to update MC Category in bulk:
- Select products to be changed.
- Bulk edit selected products.
- Remove default fields in Bulk editor.
- Add Category metafields to Bulk editor.
- You will use the bolded text copied above for this step. - Update/Change MC Category metafield with appropriate category value.
- You will use the downloaded MoreCommerce Category Guide for this step. - Save your changes in Bulk editor.
