Use this reference to help resolve product publishing errors that prevent products from becoming “Active” on MoreCommerce channel via the Shopify App.
Unless specified, all changes must be made in your Shopify store.
| Error | Solution |
| Add a product image | Add at least one Image to your product. |
| At least one image is required for new products | Add images to your product. Min Image Size: 500x500 |
| Description is required for new products | Add a Description to your product. |
| Duplicate SKU | Set each variant to a unique SKU. Two or more variations have the same SKU. |
| Fix product variant errors | Add information for each product variant, such as the variant’s size and color. |
| Inventory required to publish product | Set Inventory greater than 0 to your product. |
| One or more images are too small (minimum recommended size is 500 x 500 pixels) | Add images to your product. Min Image Size: 500x500 |
| Please choose a category | Add a MoreCommerce, eBay, or Google Category to your product. |
| Price is required for new products and variations | Add Price to your product/all variations. |
| Products with duplicate titles are not allowed | Change Title to make it unique. |
| Quantity is required for new products and variations | Add Quantity to your product or in one variation. |
| Select a product category | Enter a product category that matches the product. Some categories also require additional information, such as age. |
| Shopify ID matched a different product | Change Title to make it unique. |
| SKU is already used | Change the SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) field to be a unique value. If Parent Sku is unique, change the child (variant) that is a duplicate. |
| You must have one active variation | Set to active at least one variation/child sku having inventory. |
| You must have one variation with inventory | Set Inventory greater than 0 to one or more variations. |
