Here is a quick breakdown of the states each order you get goes through when you sell with MoreCommerce:
Review
Once a shopper makes a purchase, all orders go into this state. MoreCommerce reviews all orders to protect merchants and ensure orders are valid.
MoreCommerce evaluates orders based on several factors, such as order total, how long it's been since a shopper made another order with us, mismatching shipping and billing addresses, etc.
Occasionally, MoreCommerce will need further information or confirmation from the shopper, so our Security Team will contact him or her and the review may take several days. MoreCommerce cancels orders that fail our review process and these orders will appear on the "Canceled" section of your "Orders" page.
MoreCommerce moves orders that pass our review into the "Pending" section of your "Orders" page. (Read more about fraud review.)
Pending
Once approved, orders move into this state. It simply means that you can now fulfill the order. Keep in mind, though, that shoppers can cancel pending orders.
In Processing
Orders in this state are being processed and shoppers cannot cancel them. Please note that you won't see any difference between Pending and In Processing orders. You do not have to move orders from Pending to In Processing. MoreCommerce automatically does that for you when 1 of 3 things happen:
- You export your orders to ShipStation (if you're a ShipStation merchant).
- You download your pending orders CSV file from the "Orders" page. All orders in that file will be considered In Processing.
- You click on any pending order to expand the row and view the order details.
Processed
Orders in this state have been marked "processed" and contain tracking information. You can add this on your "Orders" page, through a CSV import or using ShipStation. Once you do that, orders will appear in the "Processed" section of your "Orders" page.
Delivered
Orders in this state have been delivered to your shoppers.
Canceled
Orders in this state have been canceled.
