Vacation Mode
To temporarily pause your sales, you can put your store in "Vacation Mode":
- Log in to your Merchant Toolkit.
- Go to your Orders page found in the Fulfillment menu, and make sure that any outstanding orders are shipped. All shipped orders will be paid out, even when your account is in vacation mode. Failure to ship any outstanding orders will result in order cancellations.
- In the Account menu, go to the Business Details page.
- Scroll down to the Deactivate your store section and select the "Deactivate my account" radio button.
- Click the blue Save button.
That's it; your store is in vacation mode. We won't let shoppers place any new orders.
Just remember:
- You are responsible for shipping all the pre-existing orders in your account.
- Your Merchant Plan is still active (along with any monthly or yearly fees).
Reopening your store
You can open your store again as soon as you're ready:
- Go back to the Account menu's Business Details page.
- Scroll down and select the "Live and shipping" radio.
- Click the blue Save button.
Closing Your Store Permanently
If you are ready to close your MoreCommerce store permanently, follow these steps:
- Check your Orders. You have to complete or cancel everything that's In Review, Pending, or Processing. (The Merchant Quality of Service Agreements will survive your store closure, so you should ship any orders to avoid penalties.)
- In the Account menu, on the Business Details page, scroll down and click the black "Permanently Close My Store" button located at the bottom of the page.
After you press this button, you will not be able to reactivate your MoreCommerce store without contacting Merchant Support.
After your store is closed
We'll pay you any outstanding payments. If you are owed any payments for orders that you have shipped, MoreCommerce will pay you those orders.
You (and only you) can still see your store. Once you have deactivated your store, you will still be able to see it when you are logged in, because you're the store's owner.) It will be invisible to the public though. To verify this, try logging out of the site and visiting your store's URL: you should find that it is no longer accessible.
Contact us if you change your mind. Once you close your store, you can only reopen it by contacting Merchant Support.
Cancel your plan separately
Permanently closing your MoreCommerce store will not automatically cancel your Plan subscription.
To cancel your subscription, please contact our Merchant Support team and we will assist you.
